YSL: my make-up must haves

I personally rarely buy high-end make-up for myself.

I usually put these products on my birthday/Christmas lists, as I can’t justify spending a small fortune on one product!

However, whilst shopping in Tesco’s for some ingredients I stumbled across these gems:

That’s an Yves Saint Laurent – Touche Eclat (highlighter/corrector), and an Yves Saint Laurent – Volume Effet Faux Cils (mascara).

The mascara on it’s own is usually £25 and the highlighter/corrector is usually £25 also.

However, in Tesco the mascara was reduced to £12.50 and the highlighter/corrector reduced to £13.

The products were in immaculate condition and I knew this price was too good to pass up. I asked the assistamt why the price was so low and she advised me it’s simply an offer they’re using just in stores– so pop into your local Tesco!

I’ve read reviews and seen tutorials where they’ve used the Touch Eclat:

As you can see the packaging itself is gorgeous and the applicator is so soft. The product can be used to hide fatigue and unwanted shadows on the sides of the nose/under eye. The product is even used to create fuller looking lips and to highlight any areas such as the bridge of your nose.

The mascara has actual bristles instead of plastic ones you normally find on the high-street. My sister doesn’t like bristles as she said she finds when she uses them, that her mascara ends up clumpy – I used this mascara today and it’s not the case!

The packaging is beautiful, I mean look:

I don’t know if the picture can pick it up, but the bottom half of the mascara packaging is rose gold in colour and the lid is gold. I know it’s only the packaging, but it looks expensive and pretty – so that’s all that matters 😛

The mascara is claimed to make lashes look longer and fuller, and I’m happy to say it does!

I probably wouldn’t buy the products myself at full price, but I’d definitely add these to my Christmas list as they are both such great products.

I can see why people say “you get what you pay for” – because both products aren’t heavy but do what they’ll say they’ll do.

My advice to you is to get yourself down to Tesco – as I can imagine these products selling so quickly at this price!

As Christmas is in a few months, please let me know of any products you use that you’ll think I’ll love, so I can add them!
